Fela Durotoye sets a New World Record

Fela Durotoye, made history yesterday, when he signed 10,000 copies of his highly acclaimed book, The 17 Secrets of High flying Students, in 8 hours, 49 minutes! Fela Durotoye embarked on this feat to encourage the culture of reading among the youth and to send a message that they can achieve whatever they set their minds upon to achieve.
He stated, via his twitter handle, that "This is more than a record attempt . We are promoting academic excellence, youth leadership and world peace". His encouragement to young people was this: "Find a record, break it and set yours".
It is interesting to note that the previous record was set by former chess world champion, Aritoli Karpov, when he signed 1,951 copies in 2006.
